IQ Panel 2—Add Z-Wave Door Lock

Using Your Z-Wave Door Lock (Video)

Use the following instructions to add a Z-Wave door lock.

1. Press or swipe down the clock display, then press Settings.

2. Press Advanced Settings, then enter the default installer code 1111 or 2222.

3. Press Installation, then Devices.

4. Press Z-Wave, then Add Device.

5. Press Pair, then the IQ Panel 2 enters into Z-Wave add mode. Trigger the door lock to learn the device, so that it sends a signal to the panel. Below are common examples of Z-Wave door locks with pairing instructions. To skip to step 6, click here.

Kwikset Deadbolt:

• Open the battery cover, and press the SmartCode button on the left, then wait for 2 minutes.

Schlage Deadbolt:

1. Enter the 6-digit programming code provided in the Schlage documentation.
2. Press SCHLAGE, press 0, then wait 2 minutes to learn.

Yale Touchscreen Deadbolt:

1. Touch the screen with the back of your hand or fingers to activate the lock.
2. Enter the 8-digit master PIN code, then press the gear icon. The lock should play a happy tone.
3. Press 7, then press the gear icon again, and another happy tone will sound.
4. Press 1, then press the gear icon, triggering a third happy tone and exit.

6. If successful, lock settings appear.





7. Press Name and select a name, or press Custom Name to create a name.





8. If Custom Name is selected, press Custom Desc, enter a name, then press Check or the keypad icon to proceed.





9. Press Add to save, then press Back or Home to exit.
