Setup Instructions


Installation Steps

  1. Remove Existing Doorbell
  2. • Turn off power to your existing doorbell at the circuit breaker.

    • Carefully remove the existing doorbell button, ensuring the wires do not fall into the wall cavity.

  3. Mount the Doorbell Bracket
  4. • Feed the existing doorbell wires through the center hole of the mounting bracket.

    • Secure the bracket to the wall using the provided screws and anchors. Ensure the bracket is flush against the wall to maintain a proper power connection.

  5. Attach the ADC-VDB105/106 Doorbell
  6. • Connect the doorbell wires to the terminals on the back of the ADC-VDB105/106 doorbell.

    • Align the doorbell with the mounting bracket and press firmly until it clicks into place.

  7. Power on and Verify LED Status
  8. • Restore power at the circuit breaker.

    • The doorbell camera is ready to sync when the LED is alternating red and green. This LED pattern indicates that the camera is in Wi-Fi Access Point (AP) mode. In this mode, the camera broadcasts a temporary Wi-Fi network. During the syncing process, you will connect to this network when instructed by the app.


Add Camera Using the Brinks Home Mobile App


Step-By-Step Instructions:
  1. Log in to the Brinks Home Mobile App, then press Video.
  2. Select Settings by pressing the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner.
  3. Select Add Device +, then select the video device you want to add.
  4. Follow the instructions provided in the app to connect to and name the camera.
  5. The camera will be added to your account, which can take several minutes.
  6. When finished, select Live to view images from the newly installed camera.

Factory Default

Warning: Performing a factory reset will erase all data. The camera must be re-added to your account to restore functionality.

  • Press and hold the doorbell button on the camera for approximately 80 seconds until the LED flashes yellow.
  • Release the button to allow the camera to reboot to factory default settings.
  • If the camera was previously installed on your account, delete it from the account before reinstalling.
  • Troubleshooting

    If you're experiencing issues with your camera, try the following troubleshooting steps:

    • Power Cycle the Camera: Press and hold the doorbell button on the camera for approximately 70 seconds until the LED flashes blue, then release.
    • Check Wi-Fi Signal Strength: Ensure the camera is within range of your Wi-Fi router. If the signal is weak, consider moving the camera closer to the router or using a Wi-Fi extender.
    • Factory Reset the Camera: if issues persist, perform a factory reset.
