Factory Default

Warning: This erases all settings. You must delete and re-add the camera in Alarm.com after reset.

  1. Press and hold the main button for approximately 75 seconds until the LED alternates green and red.
  2. Release the button. The camera will reboot and reset to factory default.

Installation Video

Add Camera via Brinks Home™ Desktop App

Prerequisite: Camera must be online (solid green LED).

  1. Log in at Alarm.com and click Video.
  2. Click the gear Settings icon (top-right).
  3. Scroll to Add Video Device and click it.
  4. Select “Video Doorbell (ADC-VDB105b)”, name it (e.g. “Front Door”), then click Install.
  5. After several minutes, click Live View to confirm the feed.

Add Camera via Brinks Home™ Mobile App

Prerequisite: Camera must be online (solid green LED).

  1. Open the Brinks Home™ Mobile App and tap Video.
  2. Tap the gear Settings icon (top-right).
  3. Select Add Video Device.
  4. Choose “Video Doorbell (ADC-VDB105b)” or scan the QR/enter serial number.
  5. Name your camera and follow on-screen prompts.
  6. Tap Live to verify the feed.

Troubleshooting

  • No Video Feed:
    • Verify battery level; recharge if LED is flashing red/blue.
    • Perform a power cycle: press and hold the reset button (pinhole) for 30 seconds, then release.
  • Wi-Fi Connection Issues:
    • Move router closer or add an extender for better signal.
    • Confirm SSID/password in the app.
    • Use AP mode to reconfigure the network if needed.
  • Motion/Alerts Not Received:
    • Check motion detection settings and notification permissions in the app and on your phone.
  • Device Offline/Intermittent:
    • Ensure operating temperature is within –40 °F to 140 °F.
    • Recharge battery if LED indicates low power.
