Text Message Alarm Notifications
Brinks Home™ offers text message alarm notifications for burglar alarms, allowing you to quickly and easily respond to alarms whether you need emergency assistance or if it's a false alarm.
How It Works
- When an alarm is triggered, primary contacts receive a text to either cancel the alarm (reply N or No) or request emergency services (reply Y or Yes).
- If no response is received within 60 seconds, Brinks Home will follow standard procedures and call the emergency contacts, starting with the primary contacts.
- Should a response other than what's listed above be received, Brinks Home will proceed with attempting to dispatch responding authorities.
- If a primary contact responds "No" to cancel the alarm but another primary contact responds "Yes" to request dispatch, emergency services will always be sent to ensure your safety.
- Primary contacts are automatically opted in to this feature, but can opt out via the Brinks Home Customer Portal or Mobile App. There is no cost to Brinks Home Customers to use this feature. Standard text messaging rates apply.
