AT&T Digital Life Sensors
Below are instructions for replacing the batteries in a standard door/window contact sensor and a recessed door/window contact sensor. Standard Door/Window Sensor:
The door/window sensor requires a CR2032 3-volt battery, which can be purchased at your local hardware, mass retailer, or battery store.

- Insert a flathead screwdriver in the slot on one edge of the sensor (the larger of 2 parts), then gently twist open to remove the sensor from the base.
- Remove and replace the CR2032 3-volt battery.
- Replace the sensor onto the backplate as it was previously mounted, ensuring the alignment markers are within 1/4" of the magnet on the door when closed.
Recessed Door/Window Sensor:
The recessed door/window sensor requires a CR2 3-volt battery, which can be purchased at your local hardware, mass retailer, or battery store.

To replace the battery in a recessed door/window sensor, follow steps below:
- Remove the sensor from the door frame.
- Remove the cover or external mounting cap to access the battery storage compartment.
- Remove and replace the CR2 3-volt battery, then reassemble and return the sensor to the doorframe.
