Honeywell 5800COMBO—Tamper Error
A tamper error occurs when the panel is reading that the sensor's cover is not attached properly. To address the tamper error on your Honeywell 5800COMBO smoke/heat/carbon monoxide/temperature detector, follow the instructions below.
1. Turn the sensor counter-clockwise to remove from baseplate.
2. Align the sensor over the baseplate, and turn clockwise while pressing against the baseplate to reinstall. When the sensor snaps into place, the tamper sensor should detect the error is corrected.
You will also need to clear the error from the panel memory by following these instructions: GC2 GoControl - Silence Reset Alarm.
