Perimeter Guard for Outdoor Cameras

With Perimeter Guard, Brinks Home™ outdoor cameras can use video analytics to stop intruders in their tracks, scaring off trespassers with loud whistles, beeps, and flashing lights.

To enable Perimeter Guard, you must have the following:

  1. A video service package that supports video analytics.
  2. A video analytics person detection rule enabled on a compatible video device.
  3. One of the following compatible video devices updated with firmware version 0.6.1.387 or higher:
    • • ADC-V523 or ADC-V724 (supports LED and Audio Alert)
    • • ADC-V723 (supports LED only)

Set Up Perimeter Guard using the Brinks Home App Website:

  1. Log in to the Brinks Home App on a desktop browser.
  2. Click Video, then Recording Rules.
  3. Click on an existing video analytics rule or create a new one. For more information about creating a video analytics rule, refer to How to Set Up a Video Analytics Rule.
  4. Verify the initial video analytics settings are configured as desired, then click Next.
  5. In the Activates section, enable the LED response:
    • • Click the Camera Status LED toggle to enable the LED response.
    • • Using the Duration dropdown menu, select how long the LED response lasts.
  6. To enable the camera audio alert (only available on cameras using the two-way audio feature):
    • • Click the camera audio alert toggle to enable the Audio Alert.
    • • Using the Audio Sound dropdown menu, select the type of sound the camera makes.
  7. Make any additional changes to the video analytics rule as desired, then click Save.

  2. Tap Video, then the gear icon (settings button).
  3. Tap Recording Rules.
  4. Tap the pencil icon (edit button) on an existing video analytics rule or create a new one. For more information about creating a video analytics rule, refer to How to Set Up a Video Analytics Rule.
  5. Verify the initial video analytics settings are configured as desired, and then click Next.
  6. In the Activates section, enable the LED response:
    • • Tap the Camera Status LED toggle to enable the LED response.
