IQ Panel 4—Battery Replacement

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open Settings

Swipe down from the time display to open the Settings drop-down, then press Settings.

2. Access Advanced Settings

Press Advanced Settings, then enter the default installer code 1111 or 2222.

3. Power Down the System

Press Power Down, then OK to confirm. The IQ Panel 4 will power down.

4. Access the Battery

After powering down, use a small Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the locking screw from the back of the panel. Remove the SmartMount backplate or the panel from the wall.

5. Remove the Battery

Unplug the 4-pin battery connector from the board and lift the battery from the compartment using your fingers.

Note: Do not use sharp objects to remove the battery or pull the battery cable. This could cause damage.

6. Replace the Battery

Insert a new Icon Energy Systems (Shenzhen) Co Ltd, Model IAN034NA or Ningbo Veken Battery Co. Ltd., Model VT27 into the battery compartment.

7. Reassemble the Panel

Reconnect the battery, secure it in place, and mount the panel back on the wall or SmartMount backplate. Replace the locking screw and plug the transformer back into a working power outlet.

The battery may take up to 24 hours to fully charge. If the panel displays a low battery alert, it will remain until the battery is fully charged.

Clearing Panel Alerts

Follow the steps below to clear any alerts on your IQ4 panel and stop the beeping sound:

1. Acknowledge Alerts

Press the message icon at the top-right of the panel, then select Messages, Alerts, and Alarms. Select the trouble alert to acknowledge or press Acknowledge All.

2. Confirm Alerts

Press Ok to acknowledge the alert, then swipe left or right to exit the menu.
