2GIG Motion Detectors—Battery Replacement

Find the image of your motion detector below to view instructions on how to complete your battery replacement. Due to the versatility of your panel, only commonly paired sensors are shown. Once you've replaced the batteries, the error on your panel should clear within one hour. If you would like to clear the error manually, click here.

2GIG-PIR1-345 Motion Detector:

Remove bottom screw, then pull front cover from the backplate.

Remove and replace CR123A 3-Volt lithium battery.

Make sure to securely snap the cover back together to prevent tamper activity.

Battery Replacement Video:

Honeywell 5800PIR Motion Detector:

Press the bottom tab to remove the front cover.

Remove the CR123A 3-Volt lithium battery from the back in order to replace the battery.

Honeywell 5800PIR-OD Outdoor Motion Detector:

Remove the bottom screw, then pull sensor from backplate.

Remove and replace 4 AA batteries. AA 1.5-Volt Lithium batteries are recommended.

Honeywell 5890 Motion Detector:

Insert a screwdriver into the bottom slot to remove the front cover.

Remove and replace the 2 CR123A Lithium batteries.

Honeywell 5894PI Extended Life Motion Detector:

Slide up from backplate then press to remove from the backplate.

Remove and replace 3 CR123A 3-Volt Lithium batteries.

Honeywell 5897-35 Dual-Tech Motion Detector:

On the bottom of the sensor, press where indicated below to open the front cover.

Remove and replace 4 CR123A 3-Volt Lithium batteries.

Honeywell 5898 Dual-Tech Motion Detector:

On the bottom of the sensor, press where indicated below to open the front cover.

Remove and replace 4 AA batteries. 4 Energizer L91 AA 1.5-Volt batteries are recommended.
