Simon XT—Battery Replacement

Follow the instructions below to replace the backup battery in your system's panel. The Interlogix Simon XT panel requires a 6 Volt 1.2 Amp Battery, which can be purchased at your local hardware, mass retailer, or battery store. Simon XT V1 (models 1.0-1.2):

Items you will need:

• A small to medium Phillips screwdriver
• A new battery

Simon XT V2 (models 1.3-1.6):

Items you will need:

• A small to medium Phillips screwdriver
• A new battery

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove the top screw, and press the tabs.

2. Flip the front cover down.

3. Apply pressure to spread battery clips and remove old battery.

4. Connect the new battery, ensuring the red wire connects to the red terminal and the black wire connects to the black terminal.

5. Install the new battery, then close the front cover.

Note: Do not cross the wires under battery or the cover will not close correctly.

Clearing the Panel Alert:

See instructions below for how to clear the error alert and stop alert beeping on your panel.

1. Press the Status button.

2. Press the Disarm button to clear the trouble.
