Optimize Your Camera Placement

  1. Measure current signal: note the percentage in the app before moving anything.
  2. Clear common obstructions:
    1. Move at least 3 ft away from microwaves, cordless phones, and Bluetooth speakers.
    2. Avoid metal doors, filing cabinets, or thick concrete walls between camera and router.
  3. Adjust height & angle:
    1. Mount the camera 7–10 ft above the ground for the best line of sight.
    2. Aim the lens at open areas—not directly at corners or walls.
  4. Retest signal: refresh the Signal Strength reading in the app.
  5. Next steps if still poor: add a Wi-Fi extender halfway between router and camera, or consider moving your router closer.
